Pdnode Forum Community Guidelines
These guidelines govern participation on Pdnode Forum. By creating an account or posting, you agree to follow them. They describe expected conduct; they are not a substitute for the Terms of Service.
Purpose
Pdnode Forum is for questions, technical discussion, feedback, and shared experience. Post in the relevant section, use a clear title, and keep each thread to a single subject.
Expected conduct
- Be civil. Disagree with the point, not the person.
- Write a descriptive title and place the thread in the correct section.
- Search before opening a new thread. Continue an existing discussion rather than duplicating it.
- Credit sources when you quote or repost someone else's work.
- Use code blocks for logs and code.
Prohibited conduct
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, or personal attacks, including in private messages.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any illegal content.
- Spam, advertising, referral farming, or repetitive low-value posts.
- Publishing another person's private information without consent, including names, phone numbers, addresses, account credentials, or photographs.
- Pirated material, cracks, or unauthorized sharing of accounts.
- Impersonating another user, a moderator, or staff.
Enforcement
Moderators may act without prior warning. Typical measures are:
- Removal or editing of the post, with a reminder.
- A formal warning, or a mute of 1 to 7 days for a repeat offense.
- An immediate mute or permanent ban for spam, harassment, or illegal content.
Repeated violations are treated more severely. Appeal a moderation decision by private message to the moderating team. Do not argue it in the thread.
Reports
Use the report control on the post. State which part breaks these guidelines. Do not respond to a violation by attacking the author. Bad-faith reports may themselves be treated as a violation.
These guidelines may be updated. The version published on this page is the one in force.
